ECHO II: Traditions in Transition is a European cultural project, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, and implemented by the non-profit organisations Inter Alia (project leader), SFERA INTERNATIONAL (project partner), Open Space Foundation (project partner), Pro Progressione (project partner), Balkans Beyond Borders (project partner), and the small-medium enterprise PostScriptum (project partner), with the aim to:
- Enhance new artistic creation;
- Highlight and renew European local traditions through contemporary artistic creation;
- Help artists, GLAM professionals and cultural operators gain more knowledge, experiences and professional opportunities through mobility and educational activities; and
- Trigger local communities to self-reflect, and hence, re-conceptualise and revitalise their own traditions within the framework of European cultural heritage.
In order to empower and inspire artists and local communities, and otherwise operate successfully, we -the project consortium- collect and process personal information.
Whether you are an employee, applicant, participant, volunteer or otherwise, we will treat your personal information respectfully, confidentially and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
- We process your personal data legitimately and for specific purposes only.
- We limit the processing of your personal data to what is relevant and necessary.
- We will clearly ask for your consent for processing your personal data in cases where your consent is required.
- We will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent, unless we are legally obliged to do so, in case of a legitimate interest, or in case we have contracted a third party to process personal data on behalf of the project consortium.
- We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data, and demand a high level of data protection standards of third parties that process personal data on behalf of the project consortium.
- We will respect your personal data rights.

We would like to follow similar policy guidelines to Europa (the portal site of The European Union), and to provide the public with the information they are looking for in more than one EU languages. However, due to constraints on resources, at the moment this isn’t possible. Therefore, we have decided to communicate the ECHO II project (activities, events, resources, services etc.) mainly in English (for being accessible to an international audience), and -in specific cases- in the national languages of the project consortium.
Every text we write uses a similar style or tone of voice. This consistency helps people know and trust us. We try to use short statements and active, not passive, language in order to provide the public with clear and straight to the point information about the ECHO II project. Also, we try to keep it simple by linking to other pages (instead of repeating what is elsewhere), and by avoiding complex and unnecessary jargon. Also, we never use slung and insulting words and phrases, because it is important for us to be polite, friendly and welcoming.
In the near future, we will publish editorial guidelines for partners, participants, collaborators or users who want to contribute content and/or metadata for the ECHO II website.
Our aim is to design the ECHO II website to be universally accessible by users and user agents / devices. We would like to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, however, due to constraints on resources, at the moment this isn’t possible.
If you have any feedback, questions or suggestions on how to improve the accessibility of the website, please contact us by emailing info@interaliaproject.com.
