Martina Spasovska was born in 1997, in Kumanovo, and now lives in Skopje (North Macedonia). In 2016, she graduated from the Lazar LIcenoski High School of Arts and Design, and in 2020, from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Skopje and Bitola. And she has won the 1st place at the 2015 International Fine Art Competition of Kratovo.
My creative production revolves around classic figurative painting, presented in a contemporary manner. I explore the dark sides of life, nihilism, existentialism, longing and loneliness, juxtaposed with fragile beauty. I am a figurative painter, but my focus has always been the emotional content rather than narratives.
