About this artwork
The artworks titled “Locus et Homines” consists of three individual sections. The inspiration for these artworks was the herbal world, the folk tradition and cultural heritage of Spetses. In addition, the creation of the artworks was significantly influenced by the communication with the inhabitants of the island.
Flowers collected on the island of Spetses, were placed on small pieces of fabric, and left their imprint. In Spetses, you can find a wide variety of aromatic plants and flowers. Specifically, these flowers were collected from the route that connects the living space and the workshop. In this way, a recurring process, like that of the collection of flowers, is imprinted and recorded on a surface.
